Happy Mother's Day

It's weird to think that this was my 2nd Mother's Day. Londyn was not quite a month old for my first. Jon let me sleep in and made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. He had the nicest letter written to me next to my plate. He's definitely a keeper. We spent the rest of the day at church, and then over to Jon's aunt and uncles house for Mother's Day dinner. While we were there we got to Skype with Ryan (Jon's brother) who is on his mission in Guatemala. It was so nice to hear from him. I had a wonderful Mother's Day and am so grateful for my own mother and the example that she is to me. I love her so much. Happy Mother's Day!
For Mother's Day dinner I was in charge of the dessert. I saw these cream cheese brownies on Pinterest and thought they sounded divine. I made everything from scratch and I was pretty darn proud of myself. I am not a baker/cook at all so it felt good to do something so "motherly" on Mother's Day! The whole time I was baking I kept saying to Jon, "Just being a mother on Mother's Day! No big deal." They turned out pretty tasty!

One 12 month old and Two 25 year olds

Have I mentioned how much I love sharing a birthday with someone? I love it so much that Heavenly Father sent my angel girl down to me just two hours before the clock struck midnight on April 27th (my birthday). I get to share my most favorite day with two of my most favorite people. How lucky am I? First off, I just want to say what a blessing it is to be a twin. We have been together since the womb (literally). She is everything that is good. She is hilarious, dramatic, beautiful, smart, giving, kind, complimentary, gorgeous smile, home body, and so Christ-like. She is an example to me of goodness and always has been. She is my best friend and I have no idea what I would do without her in my life. I cherish our relationship so much and I miss her on a daily basis. I love you, Whit! Thanks for being the bestest friend a girl could ask for! Secondly, have I also mentioned that this past year has been my most favorite out of all my 25 years on this earth?? And all because of my Londy bear. Seriously, who would of thought one little person could bring you so much happiness!?! I can't even imagine the amount of happiness more children will bring. She is the hot n spicy to my diet coke and I'm so lucky to be able to spend her 1st birthday with her. Wow time sure does fly and it makes me sad. What used to be her tiny little baby hands and feet, are becoming more like a little girl. Please. stop. growing. I put her hair in a pony tail for the first time on her birthday and I was on the verge of tears. She looked so big!!! But so stinkin cute. I don't even want to imagine Kindergarten. And let's hope she doesn't say what I said to my mom on our first day of Kindergarten....Mom: "what will I do all day long now that my twinners are leaving me at home all alone??" Me: "Don't worry mom, just stay home and make cookies." I'm so thoughtful. I can't tell you enough how much I love you! Happy 1st Birthday! Birthday girl with her birthday balloon
Second Birthday dinner
Whitnee got us a hotel room at Homewood Suites to spend our birthday night. Jon was so nice and let me hang out with the girls all day on my birthday and watched Londyn and Jase for us. We got pedi's and shopped with all the birthday money we got. He and the babes met us for dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory and then took Londyn home while I got to party all night long. He also got me a 4 hour spa day for my bday!!!! He is the best! Love you!
Birthday lunch at J Dawgs (not pictured-my mom, Joni and Patti)
And these next pics are just a few from this past week...

Londy Pondy Puddin n Pie

I was sitting at a stop light today and thought about blessed I am to be a mother and how much I LOVE IT. It is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't believe she is MINE. It's the best feeling in the entire world. The age she is at right now is so much fun and I'm sure it will keep getting better. I love how she knows I'm her mom and how she depends on me for everything. I love how she reaches up for me to hold her. I love how she needs me. She will be 1 year old on the 26th and I can't believe how fast this past year has flown. She reminds me of a little girl now and not a baby. She says dada, uh-oh, mmmmm (everytime she takes a bite of food), bye-bye, claps her hands, knows patty cake, points her finger, shakes her head when we say no, throws tantrums, HATES bows on her head, loves to walk everywhere we go and does not want us to hold her hand, socializes with everyone!! We were in Subway yesterday and a bunch of little kids came in and she ran over to them and wanted to play. She does this all the time. She smiles at strangers, loves loves loves drinks. We will give her our drinks when they are gone and she will throw the straw out, bite the top of the lid off and eats all the ice. It is hilarious. She is OBSESSED with ice. One time she had an ice cube in her mouth for way too long and she started screaming because it froze her mouth. It was sad but so funny. She pulls all the clothes out of the dressers and puts them on her head and then walks away. And I always say, "Oh that is such a pretty hat!" And she smiles and loves it. She loves opening and closing the doors. She is the BUSIEST BEE you have ever seen. My aunt Patti babysat her the other weekend and she said that she got into things that both her grandchildren have never touched. haha! She keeps us pretty busy and destroys our apartment in 2.5 seconds. But, we still love her. She is OBSESSED with the show Super-Why!! Every morning at 8 we turn it on and she is glued. I'll leave for work and I'll say "Bye bye Londy I love you" and she won't even look at me. She loves her Super-Why. She loves climbing up stairs. She loves the bath and will just leave her hand under the running water for hours. She obsessed with being chased or scared by Jon. He will make a certain noise or say I'm gonna get you, and she squeals and runs the other way. She could play that game all day. I love how she swings her arm when she walks like she is seriously going places. She is very independent and knows what she wants. She plays by herself all the time is very content. I love how she copies everything I do. I brush my hair with a comb and she will take the comb and do it to her hair. Same with brushing my teeth. When I rub my hands together with baby lotion to put on her after she bathes, she will rub her hands together. She is my little buddy and I am obsessed with her!! Everytime Jon and I get into bed at night and Londy has been asleep for a couple hours, we always say how much we miss her. She brings so much joy to our lives. We love you Londy Pondy!!

9 months

9 months?!?!? This has been such a fun/stressful month. She has now learned to get into everything and crawls super fast, you never know where she will be. She now likes to explore our entire apartment and goes in room to room. Mainly whichever room I'm in. She is like my little shadow. Her favorite place to be is under the kitchen table or watching the clothes goes round and round in the washing machine. She stands up on her own all the time, but hasn't quite figured out what to do with her feet. She loves picking up everything with her pointer finger. I think she's going to be a lefty. She does everything with her left hand/pointer finger. I try to have her use her right hand, and when she does she always switches whatever is in her hand to her left to eat/chew/naw on. She has two teefers on the bottom and it doesn't look like any others are trying to cut through yet. She loves taking her little pointer finger and touching my mole. She thinks its facinating. I however do not. She tried to eat it the other night. So, if I ever get it removed I won't have to go to a doctor, Londyn will just naw it off for me. Aren't children wonderful?

She loves when Jon and I toss her back and forth to each other. She thinks its so funny. One night, Jon and I were seeing if we could jump up and touch our heads to the ceiling (we live in a basement apartment so our ceilings are low). It was my turn to try, so I handed Londyn to Jon. As soon as I jumped up and tried with all my might, she started dying laughing. Seriously, she was giggling up a storm. I was slightly offended. I just got laughed at by a 9 month old. In her defense, I probably did look half retarded.

9 month stats:

Weight: 20 lbs (84%)
Height: 28.5 in (84%)
Head: can't remember (91%)

Happy 9 months to the prettiest girl I have ever laid eyes on! I love you so much Londy Pundy!!

Resolutions

I have never been good at keeping resolutions and usually mine are always the same...

1) lose weight
2) pray and read scripts everyday

But this year, I only have one resolution. It is to actually try and look like a decent human being. Seriously, I rarely wear my hair down anymore and it's always up in a bun. And I understand that buns are totally in right now, which rocks, but Jon LOATHES them. He said I remind him of his elementary school lunch lady. When he introduces me to people, he tells them I serve lunch to small children for a living (jj-->just joshin..how rude/funny would that be though?)So my goal is to wake up a little earlier, wash my hair, blow dry it, straighten it and actually look like I put somewhat of an effort in my appearence. Oh, and not do my make up in the car and pick out my outfit the night before. This is going to be rough.

It's freaking hard to be a girl. Don't even get me started on all our bodily functions that girls go through. It ain't even right.

So here's to not looking like the lady that hands your child their school lunch!

Cheers!

P.S. I'll post pics of my transformation soon! JJ...i would neverrr
